Learn to Sing Course

Ready, Steady, Sing

If you think you can’t sing, give us six weeks to change your mind.

The benefits of group singing to your wellbeing are well documented.

Learn to sing with a natural and fully supported sound with help and guidance from professional vocal coaches.

Many people believe they can’t sing when actually, with help, they can soon become good amateur singers. If you can sing a nursery rhyme or Happy Birthday then techniques such as volume, tone, vocal quality and breath control can all be developed with training.

There is no audition and the only cost for the 6-week singing course is a £20 one-off registration fee.

Over the 6-week course you will be shown how to:

  • Feel the beat and rhythm in your body—and know the difference between the two
  • Find your pitch—learn how to match notes with your voice and build vocal confidence
  • Decode the score—understand what those dots and lines mean, and how they guide your singing
  • Explore your vocal range—discover where your voice sits and how to use it comfortably
  • Master breath control and connect musical phrases (lines)—learn how to support your sound and sing longer phrases with ease
  • Sing in rounds and simple 2-part harmony —experience the joy of harmony and timing in simple, satisfying layers
  • Belt out a sea shanty—learn a rousing traditional tune that’s perfect for group singing
  • Step into Cole Porter’s world—explore a stylish show tune with wit, charm, and timeless appeal

Whether you’re new to singing or want to reconnect with your musical self, this course offers a gentle, practical path to musical fluency. Come as you are—leave with tools, tunes and confidence.

Sessions will be held from 6pm to 7.30pm on Sundays
